General Rules (these apply to all categories)
- The awards are open to all agencies, clients, consultancies or organisations involved in the design and / or buying of recruitment advertising.
- The advertisement submitted must fulfil the definitions of the category in which it is entered.
- No advertisements which have been produced by advertising agencies or recruitment consultancies for in-house vacancies are eligible to enter in any category.
- A distinguished panel of experts, drawn from the recruitment industry will judge entries. Decisions of the judges will be final and legally binding. No correspondence will be entered into.
- The entry fee is £50 + VAT (£58.75) for each advertisement entered into each category.
- Entries arriving after the closing date will not be considered. Any entries received incomplete, illegible or not complying with the rules will be disqualified at the discretion of the judging panel.
- No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost or delayed in the post or otherwise.
- No entries or support material will be returned unless specifically requested.
- The closing date for entries is Friday August 24, 2007.
Format of Submission
- All press and outdoor advertisements entered should be mounted on black card with a completed entry form TAPED to the back. A synopsis of the original brief should also be submitted along with a statement about the success of the advertisement. Photocopies of advertisements will be accepted but entries by fax will not.
- Radio advertisements should be submitted on audio CD.
- TV advertisements should be submitted on DVD.
- Online advertisements should be submitted on CD. If the advertisement is still live, please also provide the URL address where the advertisement appears.
Submission Guidelines and Rules
- Separate artwork must be supplied if advertisements are entered in more than one category. There is no limit to the number of entries that may be submitted.
- Eligibility for all categories (with the exception of the Out of Scotland Award) is extended to:
- any recruitment advertisement which has appeared within a Scottish publication.
- any recruitment advertisement which has appeared in a UK publication for vacancies based in Scotland. - In the Best Online Advertisement category all entries must have appeared, or been accessible in Scotland or the UK within the specified period.
- In the Best Outdoor and Ambient Media category all entries must have appeared, or been accessible in Scotland or the UK within the specified period for specific vacancies.
- In the Best Campaign and Best Student Recruitment Campaign categories, campaigns must have been broadcast, published or displayed within the Scottish media, or within UK media for vacancies based in Scotland within the relevant entry period. A synopsis of the original brief should also be submitted along with a statement of success about the campaign.
- To enter the Overall Advertising Effectiveness Award category you must complete the separate entry form for this category. All supporting materials should be submitted in the formats specified above.
- The Out of Scotland Award, is open to any agency, client, consultancy or organisation UK wide, which has placed a recruitment advertisement in any print medium outside Scotland within the relevant entry period.
- The Recruitment Consultancy of the Year category is open to any Scottish Recruitment Consultancy.
- Nominations for the Client of the Year category should refer to an individual person within an organisation (for example, Marketing Manager)
